The dye assistant comprising BIP has more advantages than others:<br />little or no obnoxious odor,<br />no corroding effect on equipment, <br />no known toxicological effect on personnel, <br />less of a pollutant than other carriers such as arylketones, <br />does not significantly degrade cellulosic fibers,<br />and may even improve fire retardancy in some application.
